Bring a Date to the Symphony and Party Afterwards at CYO Brewing

OWENSBORO, KY – Troy Quinn and the Owensboro Symphony’s Shakespeare In Love “Date Night” planned for the community on Saturday evening, January 13, 2018 promises to be a must attend event. The event begins with Behind The Music with Troy Quinn at 6:15 p.m. in Cannon Hall,  prior to the 7:00 p.m. Symphony concert. “Behind the Music” gives our patrons the opportunity to hear a bit about what they can expect to experience during the concert.” said Troy Quinn. “This will be a great evening of film, popular and classical music, featuring something for everyone.” The evening’s concert is sponsored by Old National Bank and the Messenger-Inquirer.

PARTY AT CYO BREWING AFTER THE CONCERT

“Date Night doesn’t have to end after the Symphony’s performance.” said Sara Jackson, Director of Marketing for the Owensboro Symphony.  “For those interested in continuing their evening after the Symphony performance, patrons are encouraged to join Troy Quinn and the Lacy Jean Trio for a little something different at CYO Brewing.”  Lacy Jean, long-time violinist with the Owensboro Symphony, and her trio will be performing an eclectic blend of everything from Folk to Bluegrass to Jazz – right around the corner from the concert hall at CYO Brewing, located at 119 East Second Street.

Lacy Jean is a 1993 alum of the Owensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra and graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School. She studied violin performance at the University of Louisville, but finishing her degree lost its luster when she began receiving invitations to play with professional orchestras throughout the United States. “I traveled a lot early in my career because it was great fun and decent money. I just love to play.” In addition to classical violinist, Lacy is a fiddler, plays the guitar and mandolin and also sings.

The fun will be non-stop on “Date Night”! “Stop by and bring your date!  We look forward to welcoming Troy Quinn and Symphony patrons to CYO Brewing on Saturday night,” said Drew Mitchell, CYO Brewing owner. “We will have great music and complimentary Bourbon Beer Cheese featuring Alltech’s KY Bourbon Barrel Ale, Damascene Salsa, featuring Tin Man’s Damascene and IPA Guacamole featuring West Sixth’s IPA.” CYO is noted for offering more than 30 craft beers on tap and more than 40 varieties of beer in bottles and cans.
