Symphony Quartet Performs Around Owensboro

On Thursday, June 25 the Owensboro Symphony is offering “random acts of music”.  In a time when we are limited in the number of people that gather, the Symphony will offer musical performances in places people are living their everyday lives. Thursday’s tour will begin in Legion Park. Community members that are walking the paths or letting their dogs play in the Castlen Dog Park will enjoy live string music at 11 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to listen and enjoy while keeping a safe six foot distance.

The tour continues for the residents of Fern Terra with a mini concert on their property.  For those residents that are unable to get out and about in the city right now this is a great opportunity to connect with them and let them enjoy the gift of live music.

“During this time when so many events have been cancelled due to COVID-19, we feel it is more important than ever to provide live music and connect with our community in a safe manner.”  said Gwyn Payne, Deputy CEO of the Symphony. These “random acts of music” are part of the Music on Call program that is generously underwritten by Owensboro Health Community Health Investments Program.
