April Concert Update

Dear Friends,

Just like many others, the Owensboro Symphony has been closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19. The safety of our audience members, musicians, staff and community is paramount. After following the advice of the CDC, state and local health officials it is with a heavy hearts that we have had to cancel our final concert of the 2019-2020 season that was scheduled for April 18, 2020.

Even though our April concert has been cancelled, there are still associated costs and obligations the organization bears. We hope that you will consider donating your April tickets back to the Symphony so that we can continue to help our musicians and keep our operations running smoothly for next season. Below are some options and instructions for how you can help:

  • Consider Donating Your Tickets – Your tax-deductible donation today means that the next time you see the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra on stage, the orchestra will be able to share the joy of music with you as a healthy and vibrant organization. We need your support now more than ever!

  • Exchange your ticket for a companion voucher – We will send a voucher for the number of tickets you had for the April concert which you’ll be able to use in the 2020-2021 season. You’ll be able to redeem these vouchers before single tickets go on sale to the public, allowing you to share your love of the orchestra with friends and family.

  • Refunds –  To create an atmosphere of social distancing, the Symphony offices will be closed for the next few weeks. Therefore, if you would like a refund, please select that option on the form. Once you have requested a refund, we will issue a check to mail to you.

We ask that you please complete the form by April 10, 2020. If we don’t hear from you by April 10, we will consider any tickets you have for the April 18th concert a donation back to the symphon

As our season has abruptly and unexpectedly come to an end at a time when we need the healing power of music more than ever, we now set our sights on happier times and look forward to the 55th Season of your Owensboro Symphony. Information regarding the 55th Season will be coming to you very soon.

Thank you so much for your commitment to the Owensboro Symphony during this time. Everyone at the Owensboro Symphony wishes you and your friends and family good health during this time.

Sincerely,

Gwyn Payne
